Polk County residents now have a new choice for their insurance needs.

Tabatha Hamlin State Farm is a new agency that opened recently at 450 Airport Road in Fletcher, N.C. Hamlin, who is a Polk County resident, plans to bring all insurance products, mortgages, auto loans, and other financial services to Polk, Buncombe and Henderson counties. She is licensed in the state of North Carolina in all insurance products. She also has a mortgage broker license and is a registered representative licensed to sell variable products and mutual funds.

The Lake Lanier Tea House will no longer serve brunch on Sundays.

Restaurant owner Patty Otto said the business is now closed on Sundays but will open for dinner on Tuesdays starting Aug.9.

The restaurant’s new hours of operation will be Tuesday through Saturday evening for dinner only from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
