Shirley Harris Wallace, 69, of Mill Spring passed away Saturday morning, July 30, 2011 in Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Valdese, N.C.
Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late J.H. Harris and Mamie Fowler Harris. She was a lifelong member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Curtis Harris of Columbus, N.C., and Robert J. Harris of Arden, N.C.; three sisters, Kathleen Harris of Melbourne, Fla., Mildred Painter of Spartanburg, S.C., and Marie Head of Valdese, N.C.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4 in the Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, with Rev. David Bame officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday, Aug. 4 from 1–2 p.m. at the church.
