Youth softball team seeks funds to go to regional tournament July 20

The South Carolina District 1 All Star team, made up from players from Polk County, Landrum, Inman, and Holly Springs, recently won the Babe Ruth State Tournament in Landrum. This win qualifies the team to compete in the Babe Ruth Regional Tournament in Tennessee, which starts Wednesday, July 20. The team is guaranteed to play at least four games. Members of the team are (left to right): front row: Sierra Vinson, Raegan Metcalf, Destiny McClure, Bridgess Anders, Morgan Stott and Alexus Atkins; middle row: Hannah Emory, Haley Fowler, Sarah Price, Caroline Bishop, Kendall Hall and Ellen Boatwright; back row: Coach Warren Metcalf, manager David Price and coach Kenny Hall.
