2011 Master Gardeners graduate

The Polk County Master Gardener Class of 2011 has completed its course work and has begun its duty on the local Master Gardener desk. The Master Gardeners are available to answer gardening questions Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – noon at the Polk County Extension Center.

Graduates from this year’s class are Jim Attwooll, Bob Brubaker, Charles Cziczo, Rina Cziczo, Charlotte Gardner, Renee Kane, Elizabeth Lamb, Patrick McLendon, Lucy Roberts, Stephanie Schulte, Kacy Spooner and Laura Smith Williams.

The Master Gardener class is offered each spring by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service. Students in the program receive 48 hours of training in all aspects of horticulture. The course is taught by Polk County Extension Director John Vining.
