The Tryon Riding & Hunt Club will host the $5,000 Ariat Charity Jumper Challenge on Sunday, June 5 at the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center.
The group invites the public to come out and support your local favorite non-profit in this first of its kind event for the area. Recently, non-profits were invited to submit applications for a chance to participate.
The following eight teams were randomly selected and paired with volunteer riding teams:
• Thermal Belt Outreach Ministries – Motlow Creek
• Columbus Fire Department – Block House Stables
• Tryon Arts & Crafts – Still Creek Farm
• Children’s Theater Festival – Block House Stables
• Tryon Elementary School PTA – Clearview Farm
• Polk Equine Emergency Rescue – Lone Oak Farm
• Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce Foundation – Green River Farm
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Polk County – Lynard Hills Farm
There is no charge for admission. Bring a picnic and cheer on your favorite teams and the non-profits they will be representing.
