Eddie and Kim King of Campobello announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Marie Hayden King, to Derek Matthew Atkins, son of Randy and Gaye Atkins of Inman, S.C.

King is a graduate of Landrum High School and attends University of South Carolina Upstate. She is employed by Red Fox Country Club and the Hare and Hound Pub. She is the granddaughter of Bruce and Laudy Hayden of Landrum, Shirley King of Bill’s Creek and the late Howard “Coogie” King.

Atkins is a graduate of Landrum High School and received a degree in business administration from University of South Carolina Upstate. He is employed by Spartanburg County and the Hare and Hound Pub. He is the grandson of Austin and Laura Carswell of Landrum, Viola Atkins of Landrum and the late Ray Atkins.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tryon.
