In Polk County District Court held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 87 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):
Wesley Keith Boyter was convicted of speeding 99 mph in a 65 mph zone. Boyter was fined $99 and court costs.
Alexander E. McKnight was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. McKnight was fined $40 and court costs.
Tremayne R. Sutton was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone and two counts of worthless check simple. Sutton was sentenced to pay court costs for speeding and to one year unsupervised probation, $468 in restitution and court costs for worthless checks.
