The log cabin along the banks of the Pacolet River at Harmon Field in Tryon will ring out with the sounds of traditional and contemporary acoustic Americana music as the KingPup Radio Show presents its second in the “Sunday in the Park” concert series on Sunday, May 8 from 4 – 8 p.m.

Hosted by musicians Phil and Gaye Johnson, The KingPup Radio Show is a world wide syndicated radio program featuring the music of the Carolina Blue Ridge. This month’s offering will present two upstate South Carolina bluegrass bands, The West End String Band and Conservation Theory. Joining them on the bill will be Chompin at the Bit, an old-time band from Asheville, N.C., as well as hosts Phil and Gaye Johnson. Admission is free and donations will be accepted.

The log cabin music series is presented on the second Sunday of the month and is sponsored by the Town of Tryon and Harmon Field. Located on Harmon Field Road in Tryon between N.C. Hwy. 176 and N.C. Hwy. 108, the log cabin is an air-conditioned meeting room with full facilities. The concerts will be recorded for The KingPup Radio Show, which is aired locally on WNCW-FM 88.7 on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and also featured online at www.radioYUR.com
