The FENCE Armchair Traveler series will visit Romania on Sunday, April 24 at 4 p.m. with FENCE’s own Junie Michel as guide.

Michel, who came to FENCE last year as education assistant under the federal AmeriCorps program, lived and taught in Romania for three years.

“In the time I was there, I saw Romania evolve as the country joined the European Union and developed economically,” Michel says. “I had the opportunity to travel pretty much throughout the whole country and gained an understanding of the country’s social and political history.”
