St. James Episcopal Church will host the annual visitation Sunday by the Rt. Rev. G. Porter Taylor, bishop of the Diocese of Western North Carolina.

Taylor will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. at the church, located at 766 N. Main St. in Hendersonville. The bishop will conduct a forum during a 10 a.m. reception in Stillwell Hall.

Taylor, an Asheville native, was consecrated the diocese’s sixth bishop in 2004. He holds degrees from the University of North Carolina, the University of South Carolina, Emory University and the University of the South (Sewanee) and is the author of two books.
