Fang Lei (center), a visiting teacher from China, arrived in Polk County in the fall to teach Mandarin/Chinese and cultural classes at Polk Middle School. She recently presented a program at the Rotary Club of Tryon in which she told how she was selected to come to America as part of a teacher exchange program. In addition, she gave an update about her experiences teaching in both China and in Polk County.
