A one-vehicle accident took the life of Winfred Suber Jr., 20, early Sunday morning, Feb. 20.
Trooper M.D. Bailey said the accident occurred around 8 a.m. near mile marker 59 on I-26 in Polk County.
Bailey said speed likely caused the crash as he estimated Suber was traveling around 90 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone at the time of the crash.
Suber was heading westbound when his 2005 Nissan Frontier ran off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned, according to highway patrol reports.
Suber was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected form the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
