Barbara ‘Bobbye’ Williams, 1929 to 2011, died on Feb. 7, 2011. Bobbye died as the result of injuries she sustained from an accident in late 2010. She is survived by her beloved husband, Karl; her five children, Peter, Patricia, Steven and his wife Janice, Jennifer and husband Jack and Matthew and wife Emily.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Bobbye loved her dog George and cat KC. Bobbye was a retired nurse and was deeply committed to volunteering in the hospital and for the Hospice organization. Her first book was called “Tillie’s Tale” and was sold in many hospitals and gift stores.

She was also known as an avid tennis player. She loved studying all things related to China; loved bridge; loved to dance and adored the friends she made when she moved to Tryon in her retirement years.

We mourn Barbara and the love she shared with so many people throughout her life.
