Estelle Thompson Corbett

Estelle Thompson Corbett, 62, of Virginia Circle, Easley, S.C., died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 in the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum.

Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Otis Baxter and Katherine Philbeck Thompson. She was the widow of Carroll B. “Ken” Corbett, who died in 2007. Estelle retired from Alice Manufacturing Inc. in Easley, S.C. She was an active member of the Marathon Church, Powdersville, S.C., where she served as a greeter.

Surviving are: her twin sister, Esther Conner (Hoyt) of Saluda; two brothers, Earl Thompson (Emily) of Tryon and Robert Thompson (Gail) of Spartanburg, S.C.; two step daughters, Julia Reaves and Pam Brown of Raleigh, N.C. Also surviving are four special nieces and a nephew and seven step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, with Rev. Scott Key officiating.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the Robinson Funeral Home, Easley, S.C.
