Serving customers key to great business

I love great customer service; it just makes you feel good.
Recently I had to pick up a few groceries and so I stopped at the local IGA market just down the hill from the office.
As I walked in the door I was greeted with a friendly hello from both of the ladies at the check-out registers. Their smiles were sincere and I smiled as I returned their greeting.
After picking up my items they were carefully packed into bags and placed back into my cart by a nice fellow. As I turned to leave he took the handle of the cart and began to take my groceries out to my car. It just so happens I had no cash in my purse (a victim of ATM debit card syndrome) and I told the nice man I appreciated the offer but I had no money to give him a tip.
He smiled and said that wasn’t necessary and kept on rolling the groceries to my car. He unloaded them into the trunk of my car; I thanked him and asked him his name, Herbert Ward he said.
You can bet I’ll be shopping at the local IGA again.
Bucks Pizza just two doors down from the office is another example.
Tyler and his wife Elizabeth not only make great pizza and salad they do it with first rate customer service.
The first time I went there, I’ve been back many times since, I was greeted with a smile and what can I get for you today. I placed my order and introduced myself. Imagine my pleasant surprise when Tyler told me that he would be happy to bring my order to the office when it was ready.
Got to love customer service like that! I know I do.
I’ve received great customer at many local businesses. Overall, I think we do a great job here and I plan to patronize your businesses again.
Great customer service is something we strive to provide at the Bulletin. We know that without you, dear reader, we would not be here. If we can do something better we want to hear from you.
Thank you for reading and please come back, we look forward to “seeing” you again.
