Harry Glen Turner

Harry Glen Turner, 80, of 405 S. Bomar Ave., Landrum died January 3, 2011. He was the son of the late Dennis Charles and Procha McSwain Turner and husband of Ellen Cash Turner for 27 years. He was first married to the late Margaret Griffin Turner for 24 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Landrum and retired from Landrum Mills. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gregory Turner (Holly) of Columbus; two daughters, Glenda LaVay (Doug) of Pawleys Island and Julie Hall (Rodney) of Landrum; a daughter in law, Janice Turner of Landrum; four grandchildren, Joy Turner McNeil (Brandon) of Campobello, Summer Hall of Landrum, Gracie and Bella Turner of Columbus; a great grandson, Adam Turner of Campobello; and special dogs, Abby and Libby.&bsp; He was predeceased by a son, H. Glen Turner Jr., and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park, Forest City, N.C., conducted by Rev. Andy Allen.
