TLT holds logo design contest

Tryon Little Theater (TLT) is calling on the community for help in updating its logo. The organization recently announced a design contest to find a logo to be used on all correspondence and theater promotions.
Celebrating the past and looking forward to the future is how Tryon Little Theater approaches each season. Now in its 62nd season, TLT is committed to bringing first rate drama, comedy and musicals to Western North Carolina and the Upstate of South Carolina. The logo should reflect this idea and enthusiasm.
The design can be in color, but must also reproduce in black and white. It should also be adaptable to different sizes. The name Tryon Little Theater must appear in the design. Digital submissions must be high resolution. Drawings are also accepted.
Mail disc or drawing to Tryon Little Theater, P.O. Box 654, Tryon, N.C. 28782. The deadline for submission is Feb. 1, 2011. Make sure your name, address, phone and email address are included with the design.
Tryon Little Theaters board of directors will select the winner and reserves the right not to make a selection. The winner will be announced at the February production of Oliver! and will receive two season tickets to the 2011-12 season.
Tryon Little Theaters current logo is several decades old.&bsp; About eight years ago, a relatively clear but small copy from a letterhead was scanned into a graphics system and attempts were made to recover what the logo looked like before copies of copies resulted in a degraded, fuzzy logo.
Now TLT is asking if you can design something more appropriate?
