Storyteller, musician McCredie performs at ICC Polk Dec. 9

Appalachian storyteller and musician Marilyn McCredie will take the stage Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at Isothermal Community Colleges Polk center for An Evening of Christmas Stories and Song. And, adds McCredie, Recipes are free!

Born and raised in the Hoopers Creek section of Henderson County, McCredie grew up immersed in the culture and tradition of the Western North Carolina mountains. She draws on her personal experiences and musical talents as she shares her tales of life in Appalachia.

Admission is free and the public is invited.
