The Polk Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting an Artists and Artisans Forum at the Mill Spring Agricultural Development Center in the 40,000 square foot former school building.

The event is a Call to Artists and Artisans on Saturday, December 4, from 4 until 6 p.m. Unlike many calls, this one is an invitation to active artists and artisans to join in a conversation about their work, their space needs, and how they could see themselves as a part of the growing community of entrepreneurs at the center.

In this December 4 meeting, there will be time allotted for artists and artisans to describe their work and the type of space that would suit their work, as well as a brief tour of the spaces that are available. Groups of artists that are already organized or working together are also invited to join in the conversation to explore how the center can be relevant to the areas large community of visual artists and artisans.
