Margaret Sanders died October 24, 2010 at the age of 92. Having spent most of her years as a loving wife, mother, homemaker and friend, she lost her vibrant love of life and joyful personality to the ravages of dementia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, her parents and theree siblings and is survived by her two daughters and their families: Sally and Rody Dayvault, Tryon, and Caroline and Marshall Morton, Richmond; grandchildren: Mimi Dayvault Alexander, Tryon, Lee Dayvault, Atlanta, Burke Morton, Cincinnati and Meg Morton Sauer, Chicago; seven great grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Sanders were held at Raleighs Oakwood Cemetery, where Dr and Mrs Sanders were interred together, as one.
