Evelyn Nelson of Tryon died October 16, 2010 at Autumn Care of Saluda. Mrs. Nelson was the widow of the late Mr. Alexander Nelson. She was born May 10, 1919 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Cornelius Holbert.

Mrs. Nelson leaves fond memories with her church family at St. Luke CME Church, Tryon. And two very dear friends, Ms. Lucy King and Mrs. Marie Littlejohn and family of Tryon.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Cannon & Sons Mortuary, Landrum. The Reverend Velma Logan will officiate the services.
