Claydies present sculpture show

The Claydies (ladies who sculpt in clay) a group of seven women who have been sculpting together for about a year and a half, will hold their first sculpture show in the Mahler Family Board Room on the second floor of the Tryon Fine Arts Center, located at 34 Melrose Ave. in Tryon October 3 through October 28.

Members Gwen Bailey, Claire Carey, Jeanette Comer, Betty Johnston, Beverly Pickard, Jan Romine, and Lalage Warrington have diverse backgrounds and experiences, but all have a love and appreciation of all the arts.&bsp; Their sculptures consist of a wide array of pieces, from the classical to the whimsical. There will be many original works of art for sale in the show.
