Charles Emerson Wolff, October 12 1952 September 11 2010. Lifelong rock and roll drummer, singer, guitarist, songwriter, gentleman farmer, recovering cynic, nature lover and closet folk artist. An Atlanta expatriate, living in Green Creek, N.C., was an adored husband, devoted and loving father. Charles is survived by his wife Nance Wolff, son Chris Wolff, four adoring siblings, five current band members, their wives, countless other musicians and fans. Also survived by 17 goats, three cats, four dogs, three turkeys, three rabbits, a confusion of guineas, a flock of mallards, a free range black rat snake and his buddy Cheryl Doreen the Rodeo Queen the Rowdiest Cowgirl youve ever seen.
Charles passed away at Smith-Phayer Hospice House of pancreatic cancer. He will be greatly missed, but we know God is giving him more love than we could. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Smith-Phayer Hospice House of Landrum S.C.
A memorial service will be held October 9, 2010 at 3 p.m. at his beloved farm. All who loved and admired him are invited.
