Dolores Catherine Polk Edwards, 77, of 2355 Moore Road died September 7, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House.&bsp; She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Charlotte Polk and the wife of the late Alvin George Edwards.

She worked in the U.S. Navy Commissary and was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Alvin Edwards (Shelby), Danny Edwards (Karen), David Edwards (Brenda), Donnie Edwards (Mary); a daughter, Cricket Russell (David); a brother, Harry Bruce; three sisters, Shirley Eldridge, Mary Bruce, Ruby Klause and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Mill Spring First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the church, conducted by Rev. Dean Elliott.
