On Friday at 8 a.m. the wooden timbers will be removed at the railroad crossing by Hwy. 176 in Landrum. The crossing will be paved in the same way the crossing in Tryon recently was improved. The improvement makes for a smoother ride over the tracks at these locations. Traffic will be disrupted while the work is in progress.
