Dog Days of Summer at Mill Spring monthly flea market July 30

The theme for this months Mill Spring Ag Center Flea Market held on Saturday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. will be the Dog Days of Summer. Held on the last Saturday of each month, this months market will mark the fourth one for the community.

Kathy Toomey and the Foothills Humane Society will have their On the Road Show at this months market. Meet your new best friend, who will be up to date on shots, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and ready to go home with you.

Bring your own dog for a dog wash special run by Pup N Tub and buy a hot dog for lunch. There will also be a local duo at the market who is trying to establish a dog park in the community. There will be dog-trick demonstrations and a Zoo to You on-going show during the day.

Call 828-817-2308 to sign up to vend. No appropriate vendors are turned away. Event organizers are looking for more pet-related vendors or pet services vendors to share their information with the community this month.

Vendors should bring their own tent and table. Vendor set-up begins at 7 a.m. No early pull-outs. Vendors fees benefit the Mill Spring Agricultural Development Center. The market is located at 40 School Road in Mill Spring, just off Highway 9 and Highway 108. Look for the directional signs.
