Fourth arrest made in Green Creek break-ins

Another suspect has been arrested in connection with a string of break-ins in Green Creek over the past several weeks.

The Polk County Sheriffs Office on Monday arrested Derek Matthew Cisney, 19, of Chesnee, S.C., and charged him with five counts of conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of breaking and entering, and two counts of attempted breaking and entering, all of which are felonies.

Cisney joins three others who were arrested in the last couple of weeks for approximately 12 break-ins in the Green Creek area that have occurred over the last couple of months.

Tyrone Jaqweze Tanner, 19, of Green Creek, Tyler Daynor Tanner, 18, of Green Creek and Matthew Lee Mcabee, 18, of Inman, S.C, were also arrested.

Tyrone Tanner has been charged with 10 counts of breaking and entering, five counts of attempted breaking and entering, nine counts of larceny, 14 counts of conspiracy, three counts of possession of stolen property and one count of possession of burglary tools. He is still being held at the Polk County Jail under a $55,000 bond.

Tyler Tanner has been charged with 10 counts of breaking and entering, five counts of attempted breaking and entering, nine counts of larceny, 14 counts of conspiracy, three counts of possession of stolen property, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. He is still being held at the Polk County Jail under a $56,000 bond.

McAbee was charged with 10 counts of breaking and entering, five counts of attempted breaking and entering, nine counts of larceny, 14 counts of conspiracy, three counts of possession of stolen property, one count of possession of burlary tools and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. McAbee was released on a $5,000 bond a couple of weeks ago.

Cisney was also released this week on a $5,000 bond.

Polk County Sheriff Donald Hill says since Cisneys arrest, there have been no other break-ins in the area and the sheriffs office is hoping the arrests have put a stop to the theft ring.

The sheriffs office has recovered some stolen property. The property stolen from the homes included electronics and televisions.

The break-ins are still under investigation and further charges are pending, according to sheriffs office officials.
