TFAC receives technical intern grant

The Tryon Fine Arts Center wishes to announce that it has received a grant through the Polk County Community Foundation to create a Technical Intern position this summer.

TFAC will be taking applications and holding interviews in the next few weeks. The intern position will work closely with and be supervised by Jimm Brink, the technical director of TFAC. The position will be part time for several weeks during the summer break and part of the interns duties will be direct involvement with the technical production of the two summer youth shows.

The applicant must be a rising sophomore, rising junior or rising senior. Applications can be found on-line at the Tryon Fine Arts Centers web site, www.tryonarts.org, or they can be picked up at the customer service desk in the lobby of TFAC during the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Applications must be completed and dropped off at the TFACs customer service desk by June 4. Do not mail in applications. Interviews will be scheduled for June 14 and 15.
