PCHS mens relay team takes top spot at ASU

Polk County High’s Mens 4×400 Meter Relay Team took first place at the Appalachian State University High School Invitational, April 17, 2010. The team included Valentin Santos, Andy Conner, Ethan Rhodes and John Spencer Wolfe.
The quad ran 3:35.13 and has already captured the school record in the event earlier this season.
Also in competition that day Santos won the men’s 400 Meter Open in 54.09 and Wolfe won the 1600 Meter Run in 4:36.
Kayce Martin won the 110 Meter Hurdle event in 16.18. Latoya Twitty won the women’s Triple Jump with a leap of 33’2″ capturing the only victory for the Lady Wolverines.
Results for the April 24 Times News Invitational held at Polk will be posted this week and Polk will host the Conference Finals April 28. Come Support Your Wolverines!
