Mabel Carswell Page, 84, of Manus Chapel Road, Mill Spring died Friday, March 19, 2010 in Smith Phayer Hospice House, Landrum.

Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Esper and Minnie Fowler Carswell. Mrs. Page was first married to Roland Reid Blanton and&bsp; later married to Ralph Scoggins. Mabel was the widow of Roy Page. She was a retired employee of The Meeting Place and was a member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church, Mill Spring.

Surviving are: two sons, Clint Blanton (Harriette) of Columbus and Robert Blanton (Jean) of Campobello; a daughter, Becky Champion (Phillip) of Mill Spring; two sisters, Vivian Blackmon of Charlotte, N.C., and Jean Griffie (Jerry) of Columbus; a brother, Buster Carswell (Ann) of Mill Spring. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by a sister, Catherine Phillips, and brothers, Boyce, Buren, and Leo Carswell.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 in the Pea Ridge Baptist Church, Mill Spring, with Dr. Jeff Parker and Rev. Brian Wilson officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.
