Filing for party primary and convention candidates for this years election in South Carolina began this week and will continue through noon on Tuesday, March 30. The filing period includes candidates for state and U.S. government positions, as well as multi-county district offices, solicitor, countywide and less than countywide offices. The last day to register to vote for the primary election is May 8. The primary election will be held on June 8.
