Dorothy Fidelis Crowe, 88 of Tryon, NC died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton, NC.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Teresa Ward Flower. Dorothy was a hairdresser for 49 years. She was vice president and president of St. Judes Rosary Altar Society from 1995 to 1996. She was a past member of Toastmaster and received her C.T.M. pin. She was also a member of the Samagama club. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tryon, NC serving on the church guild and crafts committee. She was a volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital and the St. Lukes Hospital Thrift Shop.

Surviving are one brother, William J. Flower of Dillsburg, PA. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Teresa Mary Twyford, Margaret Manders, and Helen Bird.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Friday, March 19, 2010 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with a rosary to be recited at 2:00 pm.

The body will be sent to Coyle Funeral Home in Toledo, OH for burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, OH.
