More art wanted for St. Lukes Hospitals hallways

In case you have not had the chance to see, St. Lukes Hospital houses some of the most beautiful artwork in Polk County. Coordinated by the Tryon Painters and Sculptors (TPS), the revolving exhibit changes approximately every three months.
Currently, St. Lukes back hall is showcasing the artwork, but staff and patients would like the exhibit expanded to the inpatient hallway leading to the nurses station. This will require many additional works of art so TPS has extended an invitation to exhibit to other artists in the community. Anyone interested in displaying an oil painting, a watercolor, or a sculpture that can hang on a wall, call Jean Wright with TPS at 859-8322 or St. Lukes Hospital PR at 894-2408.
To be included in the exhibit, TPS will need the artwork information (title, artist) by Wednesday, March 24, and the artwork will need to be delivered to the Volunteer Work Room at St. Lukes Hospital on Thursday, March 25.
Were extremely pleased to provide a venue for local artists to display their talent, but were also hopeful that these original paintings are truly healing arts, said Ken Shull, St. Lukes Hospital CEO. Not only will staff and visitors appreciate creative expressions, Im sure our patients will benefit greatly.
