Down on the Farm theme of Super Saturday Costume Parade

Get ready for the Super Saturday Costume Parade on March 20. Super Saturday is a presentation of the Childrens Theater Festival. This years theme is Down on the Farm. The parade costume contest is open to pre-schoolers through the 5th grade.

So put on your thinking caps and decide how you want to dress up. There will be many categories for the children to compete in, such as Best Farmer, Best Farm Animal, Funniest, Most Original, Most Creative, Most Unusual, Best Theme, and Judges Choice. The parade goes on rain or shine.

Parade contestants are asked to gather at the lawn of the Congregational Church by 12 p.m. and get registered. The judging will take place at 12:15 p.m. and the parade itself gets underway at 12:30 p.m. walking down Melrose Avenue for everyone to see.

After the parade all contestants are asked to proceed to the Community Stage where parents can meet their children. For details abut the costume contest, call Carol Browning at 864-457-5099.

You may bring the form below (filled out) to the parade to compete in the costume contest. Blank registration forms are available prior to the parade at the ticket office in the Tryon Fine Arts Center. Only one contestant per form and copies are acceptable.
