Berlie Capps Wilson, 90, of 5727 South Wilson Hill Road passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Tryon.
A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County for a number of years prior to moving to Polk County for most of her life. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and attended Big Level Baptist Church, where she was active with the senior adults.
Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Rex Andy Capps and Leona Crane Capps Montgomery and wife of Clarence Allison Wilson, who died in March of 1997.
Surviving are her sister, Viola Hooker of Newton, N.C.; half brother, Alden Montgomery of Jacksonville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert H. Orr, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday prior to services at the funeral home.
