Mental health recovery panel discussion

The Polk Wellness Center and NAMI Four Seasons are presenting on Thursday, March 4 a panel discussion showcasing various models of recovery for persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The program, titled “Mental Health Recovery Models: From Medical to Peer Support,” will be held at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills/Noel Room (enter from the main lobby) behind St. Lukes Hospital. A reception will be held from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and the discussion with questions and answers will follow from 7 to 8 p.m. Recovery models to be discussed include: Medical, Therapy, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Psychosocial Rehab, and Peer Support. Consumers, professionals, community members, community leaders and family members are invited to the free event.
