Eda Cawthray Wall

Eda Cawthray Wall, 86, of Wall Road, Tryon passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in St. Lukes Hospital, Columbus.
Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Enoch B. and Bessie W. Cawthray and she was married for 66 years to the late Joseph D. Wall, who died in 2006. She had been a secretary in various businesses during her working life and was a 2000-hour volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital, Columbus. Mrs. Wall was a member of Tryon Presbyterian Church, Tryon. She loved her dog, “BJ.”
Surviving is one son, George D. Wall (Patricia) of Greer, S.C.; one grandson, Timothy M. Wall (Connie) of Greenville, S.C. Also surviving is one great grandson, Alex. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen R. Cawthray, and one brother, Sam Cawthray.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Mary Potter officiating.
