Tryon Town Council approved a charter and appointed Wanda May as chair of the towns 125th birthday celebration committee. The committee will consist of five members and will work on honoring the towns 125th birthday. The town will be 125 years old on March 6. Town council said it will celebrate its birthday throughout the year.
