Cleo Jordan Geer

Cleo Jordan Geer, 82, of Columbus passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at her home.
Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Jordan and Maggie Edwards Jordan and widow of Rupert Trent Geer, who died in 2000. Mrs. Geer was a graduate of Stearns High School and was Centennial Queen of Polk County. She retired as administration assistant for the Polk County Agriculture Extension Agency, active in numerous community activities and known for her local beautiful wood carving. Mrs. Geer was a member of Columbus Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Alan Geer (Linda) of Black Mtn., N.C., and Bart Geer (Stacie) of Columbus; one brother, Charles Jordan of Coopers Gap, N.C. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
