Public to get peek at 20/20 Vision Plan

Polk County will hold on Thursday the first of two public informational open house meetings to discuss the countys draft Comprehensive – 20/20 Vision Plan.
The meetings will provide an informal forum for discussion of the draft plan and allow an opportunity for questions. Polk County staff, Vision Committee members and a representative from Holland Consulting Planners, Inc. will be available during the open house.
The meetings will take place in the Bryant Womack Justice and Administration Center, Commissioners Chambers, 40 Courthouse St., Columbus.
The first open house will be held on February 11 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. before the county planning board meeting.
A second open house will be held on March 15 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. before the public hearing on the comprehensive plan at the Polk County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to have a vested interest in Polk County and its preparation for future growth and development through comprehensive planning.
