Carl Joseph Foerster, 81, of Columbus died February 1, 2010 at his home. He was the son of late Urban Michael and Henrietta Ries Foerster and husband to Kathleen Buckley Foerster.
He was in the U.S. Army, the owner of Superior Title Inc. of Deerfield Beach, Fl., a volunteer of St. Lukes Print Shop and Steps to Hope and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Michael Foerster of Simpsonville, S.C.; four daughters, Michele Rich of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl., Laura Neidich of Charlotte, NC.., Janine Goodheart of Fayetteville, Ga., Nancy Sowerbutts of New Bern, N.C.; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Patrick Winslow Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tryon.
