Simply Irresistible moving to Trade, as ‘Kathleen’s’

After seven years on the hill above Trade Street, Simply Irresistible Gallery is moving to 98 N. Trade.
Kathleen Carson, owner, says the the gallery will open in early March with a new name “Kathleens.”
Kathleens will continue to feature an eclectic mix of fine art and crafts from the Carolinas.
Kathleens Simply Irresistible Gallery is open every day except Sunday and is currently located on the hill with Saluda Forge, run by her husband Bill Crowell.

Bird Mountain Market
Brian and Amy Connelly purchased the wine and liquor store at the state line on Hwy. 176 on Jan. 4 from long time operator Carolyn Nemrow.
The Connellys are recent arrivals to the area, having lived in Oklahoma the past three years. They moved to be closer to Amys father, Darrell Bustle, owner of Landrum Hardware.

Owner Barbara Britt has moved Twigs restaurant into the Country Mouse Inn, 120 N. Trade Avenue.
Remodeling for the new Twigs fine dining was completed last week and the restaurant was to reopen in its new space last Thursday. The Country Mouse Inn bed and breakfast services are ongoing. Owners Judy Matheis and Patricia Rountree decided to change the name to more accurately reflect their merchandise, largely antiques and consignment pieces. in Landrum has changed its name to Market Place Antiques and Consignments.
