The January/February issue of WNC Magazine contains a preview article about the Nina Simone Projects upcoming bronze sculpture dedication scheduled for February 21 at the Nina Simone Plaza in Tryon.

Titled Life and Lyrics, the article prints photos of both Zenos Frudakiss over-life-size model and photos from Simones early life in Tryon as well as her early career.

The Nina Simone Project (NSP) sculpture has received broad national coverage in such periodical publications as Jet, DownBeat, Jazzizz and Jazz Times, in addition to regional coverage in such publications as Mountain Traditions and Our State.
