U.S. Representative Heath Shuler (NC-D) recently took the opportunity to congratulate local Tryonite Megan Elizabeth Miller on having been selected as one of this years Fulbright Fellowship recipients.

Receipt of this prestigious award, Shuler wrote to Miller, recognizes your exceptional achievement, and great leadership potential in your field.&bsp; He further noted that Millers extraordinary success in achieving a Fulbright Award is a source of pride to Western North Carolina.

Miller, the daughter of resident Brenda Miller, is presently pursuing a graduate degree in Classical Languages and Literature at Lincoln College, Oxford University, United Kingdom. Collaterally, she has been the recipient both of the Nina Simone Scholarship and the Lionel J. Pearson Fellowship.
