Red Fox Country Club launches tennis program
Red Fox Country Club has entered into a tennis management agreement with Cary Davenport to implement a comprehensive tennis program for its members. &bsp;
Davenport has more than 40 years of tennis teaching and coaching experience and is a current member of The United States Professional Tennis Association. &bsp;
I am very excited about the commitment that the new owners of Red Fox are making to tennis at their club, says Davenport. The recent physical improvements to the tennis complex are a major step in the right direction.&bsp; They have installed a new watering system, improved the court drainage, scraped off the old clay (har tru) and replaced it with several tons of new material, new nets, new lines and a program.
These are among the best clay courts in upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina.&bsp; It will be our goal to make tennis at Red Fox the center of tennis in a 30-mile radius of the club.
Assisting Cary is Edgar Rodriguez.&bsp; Rodriquez is from Columbia, South America, and currently plays number one singles for The University of South Carolina Upstate. &bsp;
Rodriguez was ranked as high as 65th in the world as a junior player and reached the quarter finals of Wimbledon as a junior.&bsp; Rodriguez has been working with Davenport since May of 2009 and not only is he an outstanding player but a wonderful teacher, according to Red Fox.
Some of the programs and services that will be offered are: Club membership in the United States Tennis Association, Private and semi private lessons, Hitting sessions, Womens clinics *(2.5 and 3.0 to 4.0), Mens clinics *(2.5 and 3.0 to 4.0),&bsp; *USTA rating system, Free tennis evaluations, USTA league teams, Mixed doubles socials, Exhibitions matches, Tournaments, A Junior Tennis Development program.
