To the Editor:

No family ever thinks that they will need to call on the sheriffs department.

Over the past two months, however, that has happened to us. We just want to express our appreciation to Sheriff (Donald) Hill and the Polk County Sheriffs Office.

Everyone there has gone out of their way to help us and has conducted themselves as concerned, informed professionals.

We in Polk County are indeed fortunate to have that kind of support.
