E. Miller McCall

E. Miller McCall of Tryon died Tuesday, December 15 in Minneapolis while visiting family there. A native of Aurora, Ill., Mr. McCall was 84 years old.&bsp; Born on January 28, 1925, he attended Freeman School and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1943.

Mr. McCall received a bachelors degree in business administration from Northwestern University in 1949, where he was enrolled during World War II in the Navy V-12 program. He served as an officer in the Navy during the Korean War. The founder and principal of McCall Sales Company, Mr. McCall had a career as a manufacturers representative.

At age 70, Mr. McCall and his wife retired in Tucson, Arizona and later, Tryon. A lifelong golfer and bridge player, he was a member of the Aurora Country Club and the Tucson National Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lu McCall of Tryon; his daughters Marcy McCall (Atlanta, Ga.) and Julie McCall Leisz (Minnetonka, Minn.). Also surviving Mr. McCall are his sons-in-law, Paul Condolora and John Leisz, and his four granddaughters, Kelley Shea Leisz, Peggy McCall Leisz, Lucile Jones Condolora and Mary-Miller Condolora.

Mr. McCall is preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Miller Ericson and Brooks Butler McCall II; and by his brother, Brooks Butler McCall III.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Northwestern University: John Evans Club University Scholarship Fund at 2020 Ridge, Room 331, Evanston, Ill. 60208.

The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 218 E. Benton Street in Aurora. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
