Former Polk County homeschooler, Lauren Edwards, met all requirements for Deans List during the fall semester at Montreat College in Black Mountain, N.C. Before graduating high school in May 2009, Lauren completed 30 college credit hours through dual enrollment at Isothermal Community College in Spindale and entered Montreat College as a sophomore at age seventeen.
