Ridley first from LHS on Shrine Bowl run team

Kody Ridley is the first cross country runner from Landrum High School to be named to South Carolinas Shrine Bowl run team.

Shrine Bowl Run coach Tony Colizzi from Bishop England High School recently announced the 2009 Shrine Bowl Run team.

Six female and 20 male runners will run the Shrine Bowl game ball from the Shriner’s Hospital in Greenville to&bsp; Gibbes Stadium at Wofford College on Dec. 19.

Prior to the 33-mile run, the runners will tour the Shriner’s Hospital&bsp; in Greenville.

The team consists of four girls: Lauren DiNicola (Wando), Keely Gillespie (North Augusta), Clarricia Golden (Sumter), Alexa Neiling (Mauldin), Erica Segars (Daniel) and Jeanne Stroud (Bishop England).

For boys, joining Ridley will be: Morgan Bateman (Wade Hampton), Will Belue (Lexington), Brandon Easler (Dorman), Zachary Duskin (Dutch Fork), Parks Edwards (Mann), Drew Harris (Lexington), Austin High (Chesnee), Sid Houting (Bishop England), Kyle Koby (Woodmont), Jesse Kremmerer (Travelers Rest), Jake Lewis (Irmo), Bobby O’Brien (Stratford), Grant Pensa (Dutch Fork), Aaron Ramirez (Woodmont),&bsp; Jamie Sires (Airport), Andrew Spencer (Wade Hampton (G)), Tyler Tesch (Mauldin), Spencer Wallace (Hilton Head) and Chase Wolf (Dorman) round out the team.
