Are you looking for something special this holiday season with a local flair?
Youngsters in the Polk County 4-H photography workshop this summer took photographs of life and scenes in Polk County.
The 4-H office selected eight local photos and made notecards from them.
We are excited about showing off the photographic work of the young people in our 4-H photography class, said Helen Clark, Polk County 4-H program assistant. There is a nice mixture of area landmarks and objects we see in our daily travels around the county.
Scenes include a view of White Oak Mountain, the Polk County Doughboy, the Saluda Grade historical marker, the 1859 County Courthouse, Veterans Park, and other pictures taken&bsp; by 4-H students.
The notecards come eight in a package. For more information contact Helen Clark or Dot McClintock at the Polk County 4-H Office at 828-894-8218.
